Scaffold Lighting Systems - 110v and Battery Powered
As part of our service we can provide various types of scaffold lights to suit every application from low budget battery powered static and flashing hazard warning lights to 110v scaffold flood lighting systems.
Warning Lights – Bulk Head Safety Lighting
We also fit and rent warning bulkheads inexpensively. The light fittings, can be either red or white, depending on their application.
Our bulkhead warning lights are ideal when a scaffold has been erected on a public footpath or in situations where the scaffolding could cause a hazard to the public. Translucent lights are used for lighting footpaths, while red lights are located on the outside of the scaffolding to warn on coming traffic of the hazard.
They can be fitted to scaffolding or to hoarding to provide both illumination and a warning to pedestrians/drivers of the obstruction.
All bulkheads are installed with rough service bulbs and are mounted at intervals along the scaffolding/hoarding and are powered by a 110v transformer.
The lights are 40w anti vandal bulkheads, and are made from a tough polycarbonate material. Lighting systems are wired with 110v PVC Artic Grade cable and connections made with 110V plugs and connectors. These lights are installed in sets of 4 and any number can be linked together to suit requirements. All our transformers are continuous usage and comply with current British Standards.
Light systems can be optionally switched on and off at certain times, to save on electricity, via a timer plug, supplied free of charge, on request.
Our lighting systems are inexpensive to install as an optional security measure or to warn of instructions and are often required by local authorities when obtaining permits.
Wireless Scaffolding Warning Lamps
As part of our mains free service to scaffolders and contractors we now offers a new mains-free product.
Our mains free solution to standard bulkhead lighting provides a stand alone unit where the lamps contain a photoelectric cell that enables them to switch on and off automatically to suit all conditions. They have a specially designed lens that diffuses the light to provide maximum light where it is most needed. Our lamps are extremely tough and durable. As with our standard mains warning lights they are available with red or translucent lenses. The lamps are acceptable to The Highway Authorities, Local Councils and the Health & Safety Executive as well as conforming to British Standard 3143 part 2. They have a battery life between 200-400 hours mainly dependent upon the time of year. The lamps are fixed to the scaffolding via a specially designed bracket, with a fixing nut that is the same size as used on a standard scaffold fitting.
Fulfilling Highways Authority and Health and Safety Executive requirements as well as complying with both City and Local Authority byelaws, Scaffold Alarm Systems Scaffold Warning & Safety Lamps are available for sale or to rent.
Scaffold & Site Flood Lights
Scaffold Alarm Systems can also supply and install security floodlighting systems, powered from a 110v transformer, transformers range from 2.5 kVA up to 10 kVA.
Our lighting systems are wired with 110v PVC Artic Grade cable and connections made with 110V plugs and connectors.
Floodlights with integral motion detectors, are a great addition for extra security when used in conjunction with our scaffold or site security systems, or alternatively as a standalone deterrent.
The lights, when expertly located give maximum protection to each particular environment. With the option of 300w or 500w bulbs, we supply these lights in sets of two, and can be fitted independently, with their own PIR or as part of an alarm system.
They can be wall mounted or clamped to the scaffold.
The PIR range and illumination time can be adjusted to suit every application and are an inexpensive security device that will illuminate a large area for a pre-determined amount of time.
